Hello and welcome back to another entry on The New Routine, this time a couple of months later. There were a lot of "changes" per se, some good and some bad. Let's already start the review.

February 13th, 2026 Today is once again payday after a long and grueling process of leaving the unemployment phase I was in. I am thankful to say that I have: No Debt, everything paid and accounted for A plan for the future (financially) Goals to reach I expect some more progress for Dezaos to start appearing soon as I now have the means to fund ideas I want to make reality, and I think The New Routine is helping a lot with keeping things in well, routine! I know I broke a

February 10th, 2026 Ya'll, I had four ideas I wanted to express, but couldn't make them sound right. Consider this as the entry for the day. Ideas I tried but failed, no, better to admit that I got stuck writing: The quiet hours and how being "lonely" can make the brain weirder than it is A story about an english accented mouse in a scarf and greek fisherman's hat A story about a frozen pond, old relics from humans, bears, mice, foxes, and a mystery Another vent... I am tryi

Welcome to the weirdest weekend I've had in a while: from machines breaking, irritating kids, and an evacuated home.

February 6th, 2026 Did those essays I had to write for school help me in any way? I believe they did. Something I noticed is that when I am required to write for specific reasons, I tend to write in an essay format. For example, say you give me an essay for a PSAT write or an essay for a film class, I could do most of what is required of me. I do the research, work in reverse (write my points that would answer the prompt), and finally prepare a thesis. But now, having grad

February 5th, 2026 Would eating a shapeshifter be considered cannibalism? Yes, and No. So there I was at work minding my own business. I was seated down, placing chocolate moulds into racks for them to later visit the chiller when I thought about something close to a shower thought: You know those scenes in movies where the main protagonist's significant other dies or sacrifices themselves for the protagonist to survive? Super sad, I know. During these scenes, some stories

February 4th, 2026 Has this happened to you? You get a paycheck of, let's say, $1000. You start by paying your tithes and offerings. Then rent, then subscriptions, then some IOUs you'd like to honor. Pride fills you that you are debt-free. So why do I only have $80 for the next two months? This is based on a true story that happened not long ago, last week. Nonetheless, it's moments like these where dreams of my creative work being the work that pays for an honest livi

February 2nd, 2026 One of the goals I had this year is to at least publish three books: A storybook, a photography compilation, and a recreation of an older book I made for NSU (You can read it here in the Graphic Design section under University Works!). I thought of a title of a little segment, or maybe a downright title for a project called The Middle Chapter, where the main thing would be a reflection based on the fact that I am (at the time writing this) turning 23 in a

January 29th, 2026 No really, I do. I know it would take a while, but I know what type of layout I would want. All I ask for is a three bedroom place, a proper bathroom, and an electric stove. I would have enough space to host a small get together where I would serve some baked goods and have jazz play softly in the background; having a little bit of a tea with some biscuits and have a good talk about what the week is going to look like. After a while, I would love to retir

Jan 28th, 2025 So... what do I write about? I have no idea. Let's try again tomorrow. I've been saying this for a while now. How can one write with a confused and unorganized mind? You shouldn't admit defeat, but try again! Yes, writing is difficult, but it doesn't have to be the end of a person's desire to be a better writer. The best practice is simply that, practice! I think people forget that, including myself sometimes. Results don't happen instantaneously, but g

An update to life in 2026. The start of something new.

October 9th, 2025 This entry is a little shorter than the others. I have been overseeing some projects I have created and am yet to create, and a thought crossed my mind: Considering that I have written a good amount for school, passing moments, and other occasions, why not make a book out of them? What I do know is this: I already have experience with using InDesign, as it was the main program used for the creation of The Silent Girl and the T. Rex Boy; surely, I can use t

Anyways, here's what has happened in the meantime.

Video game concepts I created during my time at FAU.

July 25th, 2025 You know what is something I am realizing as I am writing my 4th draft of this entry? Being a creative is a whole lot harder when you aren't given any specific direction. Has anyone dealt with that before? Of course, I'm not sure if I have mentioned it before, but I recalled having a better time with projects in school, as I was told, "This is what type of project we'll be doing this session". I still had some challenges in finding good ideas and executing

June 10th, 2025 Well... that was... interesting. Didn't get the results I wanted, at all. But you know what? I think there is a lesson in all of this. One week went by, and as I said in the last entry: " You know, a week can either have a lot of things happen, or, nothing at all." So then, what let's reflect what I was able to do. Mind you, during this time I was still enduring adapting to New England's summer allergies fest, as well getting sick Saturday night. Jurassi

June 2nd, 2025 You know, a week can either have a lot of things happen, or, nothing at all. As the title of the post informs you, I bought a new lens since the last post. I also have an idea of what I want to premiere with on Dezaos, Corner of Andre's St, and Dezaos Creatives. Let's break down a few things here. First, let's grab a cup of Blueberry Ube Iced Latte from The Lost Shoe and walk with me. Item 1) The Library - Two new books, and an idea on how to make money as a

May 25th, 2025 "Transfer student with even bigger-" Nah you thought I'd finish that reference... Does anyone understand that reference? Anyways, it's almost June and I was able to get some things underway. First, I found a community I can begin to merge into at church: Abba Flow Up. Sooner or later I will make more friends and will create meaningful relationships, relationships I hope to lead either to work opportunities or deeper relationships. We'll wait and see. What'

May 6th, 2025 I sat down at the table in the living room. The emptiness of the space didn't bother me, rather, I felt locked in to work on things I needed to do. I looked over a file I had downloaded overnight. "Ok, the files were downloaded, and slowly but surely, I am able to add things to the site." I thought to myself. I'll be frank, I took having multiple displays, a mouse, and a keyboard setup for granted. I glided through the keys, adding stories into the journal, f
