Has this happened to you?

You get a paycheck of, let's say, $1000.

You start by paying your tithes and offerings.

Then rent, then subscriptions, then some IOUs you'd like to honor.

Pride fills you that you are debt-free.

So why do I only have $80 for the next two months?

This is based on a true story that happened not long ago, last week. Nonetheless, it's moments like these where dreams of my creative work being the work that pays for an honest living fill me with hope. Granted that I have a stable job this season I am grateful for, I trust that I will make it work for me to pursue Creatives full-time sooner or later! But again, with enough time, patience, and practice, I know I'll make it well. Something I am always hearing and acting on:

"Preparation and Prayer goes hand in hand."
