It's been a while since I've updated The Planning, the living documents that I've consistently put off writing. It is a fault I admit to. Anyways, here's what has happened in the meantime.

My time working at Bread of Life has come to an end. The period has passed for another chapter to begin, a sub-chapter, so to speak. I still recall my status of being unemployed as if it were yesterday. I woke up in the morning still groggy from the emotions of it all and thought to myself, "Congrats, Andre, you graduated from university, and now you're out of a job." A haunting statement that urked me for a good few months

The application process raged on as I lived off my savings and support from loved ones who had heard what happened to the bakery. I had saved around $5,400ish in savings and found myself withdrawing around $500 that lasted... well... two weeks at best due to poor financial decisions (eating out and general buying wants over genuine needs). Mentally and physically, it hurt. I began to gain weight and became depressed. After sulking a while, I returned to the fight and swam out of the suffocation I allowed myself to endure. I realized how much I put myself through.

No matter! It became a new day, and I got back to it. A good portion of my days became applying to places online, cold calls, and literally dragging myself to places around town to wherever needed work. I also cared for my health the best I could and started weight training. I started to put on some muscle, but also gained weight. Still, there is something I need better discipline in. My savings started depleting, and I became worried again, but also kinda thought "God will handle it," and THANK GOD HE DID!

Many ghostings and low offers later, I decided to do a cold call to where I am currently working. To my surprise, I got an interview the same day! Guys, it literally became an ONLY GOD CAN DO IT MOMENT, and I cried the rest of the day, thankful I was given a chance to work again.

I visited home for a week, and training began the week I came back. After training, I had my first paycheck in a while, and I was on the moon...

Ok, it was short-lived because I admit to having to pay a speeding ticket I had gotten a few days before...

Listen, I was visiting Mount Greylock for the first time before full focus on work, and I didn't realize I was lost and going faster than needed down the mountain, cut me some slack >:(

But regardless, I am finally *working! And in something close to what I have been studying. Safe to say, my portfolio did the speaking for me, even getting praise from my boss! One worry I do have is that it is a seasonal job, meaning that I will need to find work when the season is over, but that time will not be for a couple more months... that might go quickly if I don't plan accordingly. But maybe ideas will work and something amazing happens, God knows the future, and I remain trusting His plan.

And thus, this is the meantime. Being a photographer with a seasonal studio, learning how to manage personal finances, and creating goals I hope to achieve someday.

A final update to this post is this:

An actual goal I have is to run a fusion of a photography studio and a cafe. Think of Aunt Cass's cafe in Big Hero 6, business and residence in the same place. I wrote a few ideas down in a document I can't wait to share when the time is right!

So, in the meantime, I continue to save money towards needs, thank God for life, and carry on with life.

Till the next project or update, folks!

*All mentions are my own experiences and understandings; I do not represent my work, rather just myself!
