So what would you like? A look into a future I want to have as a creative.

November 3rd, 2026
First and foremost, everything happens as God wills it. Amen. If my desires do become reality, these things will come to pass, primarily through Christ's blessing in my endeavors, but also through proper work towards it.
Originally, I had an idea to have a humble little store called Dezaos Cafe Studio (A mouthful, I know). Below, I recalled my 2025 notes on the initial idea and added more context / rearranged some ideas to better support progress in 2027.
Preface
̶D̶e̶z̶a̶o̶s̶ ̶C̶a̶f̶e̶ ̶S̶t̶u̶d̶i̶o̶s, now just called Dezaos Creatives,
A barbershop inspired this concept I attended while in Florida: ManCave, where they would serve beer and other beverages to clients getting their haircuts.
Ok, so let's dream a little with some questions and answers separated by endeavor; one for the cafe side, and the other for a studio:
What type of location am I looking for?
Cafe: The cafe would ideally be one big area. I imagine three couch areas where students can gather around a low-hanging, round, wooden table and place their coffees neatly, sitting in leather esc couches that don't sink too much. The coffee area could be similar to Starbucks' or Dunkin's design of a workstation, with the kitchen in the back. What I would change, however, is having seating that can watch the coffee being made, like a bar!
Studio: On the second floor of the building, I would like at least 5-6 rooms that can be used for photo spaces, recording and editing, and conferences. One photo room painted all black, the other painted all white, with the third being an area that can be presented as a set. The editing room would have at least 4 Mac stations with a small area to watch and present edited media for review. The recording room would serve for podcast sessions, with an honest two-couch setup, ready to be booked in advance. The final room would be a conference room for booked clients to begin their requests or bring concepts into their commissions.
What type of service and purpose would you like Dezaos Creatives to fulfill?
Cafe: To be frank, I would like it to turn into an area where creatives can network with each other, another third space students can find while pursuing their education, and overall a place where overflow can go to should the studio be packed or actively in use. I would also like to offer things such as coffee, pastries, and possibly small meals. I thought of outsourcing and having packaged goods from local vendors. Not only would this bring in more business opportunities for the area, but it would also create potential clients for other bakeries and restaurants in the area. Think about it: cookies from Mrs. Smith, Cake Slices from Anthony, Muffins from Cleo, and so on.
Studio: I would like the studio for in-house activity, but also a potential spot for training a bigger team to operate out of the studio and into their own client lists! Each of the spaces would see a team joining in and using that space to train members on how to shoot in a studio, as well as serve as a studio for clients to get media services done either their own way or with a person guiding the experience.
Now jumping back into 2026, and soon 2027, I now see this idea needs a whole lot more intricate work. But that is amazing and exciting to think about! I just now earned enough and bought my Sony a7v, a giant step from the Sony a7 II I was rocking since 2023. I also have lights, an action camera, an editing system, and so on. For me to have a big area such as the one mentioned above, a lot of clients and solo work are in order.
God willing, I will make even more connections that will make this dream a reality in... let's say 5 years? Who knows!
Below is a very crude idea of the floor plan I had in mind; of course, this will definitely change based on the location I find and can afford, but still, nice to have envisioned it.

Of course, I couldn't have added a back. Now the question is, are there windows?
area that would be a kitchen, but with How would soundproofing work?
The space I had in mind, maybe the bar Would these walls be actual walls?
Is the kitchen?
It's a lot to think about, but still, this small paper is a good way to get more ideas from the outside, and hopefully motivates others to help me in the process!
Till the next one,
Andre, otherwise known as Dezaos, out!
