Welcome back to Creative Entries: A collection of entries exploring my journey as a creative and where I will go now that I have graduated with flying colors. Previously, I communicated my plans for the month, but those weren't exactly relevant to Creatives; they were more like things I'd like to do that are minimal or technical.
The main purpose of this second entry in the day is to write a little note to self, well, a note to anyone who sees it on how the site is being run. Similar to a Discord server, I want this to show where everything is. Dividers will be used thought for thought.
- Here's a Map -
Home - The main menu where all visitors will enter the site. This section displays a little of everything, including a connection to the other pages of the portfolio.
What's Left: Clean up design, better use of elements that accommodate multiple screen sizes, feedback from peers, and professional web designers.
Photography - A single page consisting of collections of moments in my journey as a photographer. Until I can understand proper categorization, these collections will accumulate as sections on the page. Exploration of these sections will be provided via the hamburger menu that will connect to anchors on the page, labelled properly to each collection.
Graphic Design - The original idea that inspired the format for the photography section of the portfolio, two collections from my years at NSU and FAU, demonstrates how the collections are organized.
What's Left: I would like both of these sections not to be a single page containing all of my works, but for now, it will do. I would like for each category to be its own page, but how to make that work while not overloading the (behind the scenes) menu is an interesting feat.
Side Note: Should I organize based on recent events or categories for my works? Both sides have it's quirks too.
Doing it based on recent events would show the most recent work I have worked on in any of the mediums, but it wouldn't categorize the type of work it is.
Doing it based on category would be nice, but how to make a system that while also keeping recent work on top would provide a challenge.
Nonetheless, here is how those categories would go:
Portrait
Journalism
Commercial
Black and Whites
Wildlife
Church
Illustration
Branding
Interactive
Novelization (Print)
Journal - Where we are right now. Categories will range from The Creative Entries, Special Entries, The Archives, and other planned categories, the more I write.
Archives - Other creative projects unrelated to the mentioned mediums.
You might notice that there isn't any mention of Video Production in this list, and there is a reason. All of that media will be demonstrated and reflected on YouTube through Dezaos Creatives and Dezaos, respectively.
Here is a category of what I'd like to work on:
Video Production
Advertisement
Short Film
Gaming
Genre
Documentary
This is a living document, more will come out in the future. Till then, ya'll!
