Entry 3 - We're finally here

April 29th, 2025

And like that, we are finally finished with our education. I submitted my final yesterday, a film treatment of an anthology illustrating the Holocaust. I find it a little ironic yet interesting too: I started FAU with film and finished with film; more ironic is that it is a film treatment, i.e., the beginning steps of making a film in the first place.

So what now?

I woke up early today with a little weird knot in my stomach. Why did I feel this way, that I needed to go to the restroom and take a fresh shower at 5:30 in the morning? I'll be frank, waking up at 4 am to open the store has gotten the best of me some days.

Right, I write this before heading to the train station that connects to Logan Airport, heading out to Florida for the second time since I've moved to Massachusetts. From there, I graduate tomorrow; yes. Tomorrow at 5:00 PM.

I am really happy that I graduating, don't get me wrong. All I long for now is a good job and a happy adulthood. The goals from Entry 2 are still being worked on. That said, I push forward and pray that I do one or the other:

1. I could start my own with Dezaos

or

2. Someone reaches out to give me a chance with their company.

Either way, I understand that Christ will guide me through my journey.

I stepped back a little from my computer, stretched, and looked at the time. The knot in my stomach turned into hunger as I woke up without considering breakfast. Looking at the clock, it tells me that it's 7:07 am, two hours from when I would need to leave.

To finish this entry, I do want to highlight some changes I've seen.

1. Site wise, I fixed small things here and there, mainly with the mobile version I've heard complaints about.

2. Church wise, I am finally a member at Abba Marlbourough! I can now serve once I get back.

3. School wise, I am finally finished, but do want to remain educating myself through services such as skillshare (not sponsered, yet!)

4. Health wise, I am stuck at 200 lbs, but I do feel better, and I believe I am almost there with my ideal weight and look.

5. Overall, things are looking pretty good.

Now some notices (This is more of a note to self section):

1. I want to buy a better mic before narrating ALL of the writings I have made here. That said, I want to integrate an audio selection for accessibility purposes... also so I can have a record of what I wrote and see if any edits are needed.

2. As said before, I have a week off in Florida. I'll be bringing my MacBook with me to work on the site on my off time. Expect some changes here and there

3. I took a look at our graphic design area. I'll be honest, it's bare bones, but the hamburger menu and no buttons do make a nice change of pace. I'll be working on fixing the hierarchies there with the titles. I will also see how I will add photography to the mix, as I have already added a nice slide for the main menu, but I need a way to organize the photo categories. I am unsure how to use CMS, but I'll figure something out.
