Entry 1 - Yes, it looks like a mess.

It's been a while since I've written a blog post, and I'm to blame for it. I got so caught up in working to raise money that I haven't spent that much time doing what I came to Massachusetts to do:

To start my journey as a creative.

It's not that I haven't started, but I merely "activate it" in a sense, such as by genuinely networking with others or continuously working on a decent portfolio. Look at the state of the site, for instance, and you'd see that it went from organized to a hot mess—that is still being worked on.

Ok, I graduate in a few days and I don't have any more excuses or reason not to be the Creative that God made me to be. I remember watching Facing the Giants as a teenager, and this quote has stuck with me since:

“I heard a story of two farmers praying to God for rain to come. Both prayed, but only one prepared the land. Who do you think trusted God more to send the rain?"

Where am I going with this?

Ok, to quote Bluey a little bit here (aye, leave me alone, I liked to see what the craze was about when it started trending), I already had a quick cry and I'm ready to get back up and get things going. There is no point in bickering "I want to be a creative" if I don't get up and actually make something.

Now, here's the game plan:

  1. I'm graduating on May 1st in Florida. During that whole week I when I'm with friends and family, I NEED to make at least one small thing.

  2. Weekend consistency, I need to either make a blog entry or content on one of the socials (check my gaming or creatives YouTube channels on the social portal btw) and have it out by Monday.

  3. Obviously, I need to network around Massachusetts for both employment or honest to God relationships (friendship if you must) that share the common goal of content creation in the fields of photography or other designs.

  4. Yes, continue to save money, but USE THE THINGS YOU BUY. I still have a white pull-out screen I could be using for studio work, but haven't gotten a chance to use it... NEITHER THE $800 WORTH OF STUDIO LIGHTS JUST HANGING OUT IN MY ROOM.

  5. And most importantly, place my trust in Christ. He will show the true path I am going to take.

This all started as a part of a rant I had from a bad day at work, but really, I don't think I'm mad anymore that I'm in this position. I'm not at rock bottom per se, but I feel that I do need to start swimming towards the surface for fresh air. Too fast and I'll get poisoned, too slow and I'll drown...

"Too fast and I'll get poisoned, too slow and I'll drown."

I can't tell if this was a corny line or an actually good line.

You let me know!

Last but not least, I want to improve on a LOT of things, and I DO have a lifetime ahead of me to do those things. This season will end when it needs to end, and not sooner.

Ok, let's start from the top,

One more time.
