Wide Awake by Andre OrnelasAndre Ornelas

September 4th, 2024

I stayed the night wide awake

There was something I just couldn’t shake

My mind went in circles and different shapes

There wasn't anything that could give me a break

There wasn't anything dangerous in the room I had slept in

There weren’t too many changes in the time it’s been

There was a good amount of vision to observe the room I was in

Then, there was a weariness creeping in.

Then, there is a possible rest in some sort of zen

Now, I had stopped fidgeting with a pen.
